This book, part of Purnell’s History of the Second World War is book number 18 in the Battle Series and as the name of the book suggests, gives a good account of the London blitz.
Author: The author, at the time of the writing of this book was a novelist and historian of international renown. He served throughout WWII firstly with the British and then with the American army and became a specialist on the German General Staff. His other books include: When the Kissing Had to Stop and The Shirt of Nessus.
