author at the time of the writing of this book was the Dean
of the American Universities Graduate School in Europe.
He was Professor of Modern European History and Director

for Foreigners in Perugia. A graduate of both British and
American Universities, he has taught and researched in many
countries. His other works include, The Day of the Lion,
The Mechanics of Power and autobiographies on Khrushchev,
Mao Tse-Tung, Pope John XXIII and Pope Paul VI. |
