Death
Of A Hero by John Parker |
|
Description:
Captain
Robert Nairac, GC was an officer in the Grenadier Guards
when he received the call in January 1976 to be seconded
to the Special Air Service. With his knowledge of Irish
history and his Catholic religion he was given the specific
task of intelligence Liaison in Northern Ireland. It was
in this role that Nairac was snatched from an Armagh pub
where he was meant to meet a contact, driven across the
border, interrogated and shot. Mystery surrounds the events
of his disappearance. His body was never found. The author
answers many questions that have arisen from his disappearance
provided by interviews with his friends and colleagues
to lay to rest the speculation surrounding the death of
this very British Hero.
