Title: It Doesn’t Take A Hero by Gen. H. Norman Schwarzkopf

Description: This is the autobiography of General H. Norman Schwarkopf who became known to the world as leader of allied troops during Desert Shield / Storm. But he had led a remarkable life far before this conflict, which spanned a military career over nearly four decades. Born in New Jersey during WW II, the son of a military man, Schwarzkopf joined the military academy, West Point. In this book, he speaks frankly about his experiences over his two tours of duty in Vietnam and of the ‘Dark Days’, which followed the war. He also recounts his attachments to Washington and the events, which led to him taking command during the Gulf War. He describes his relationships with Colin Powell, Richard Cheney and President George Bush amongst others and the difficulties he encountered during the conflict. This is an intensely personal account of one of America’s greatest military leaders.
