Michael Wood was born in Manchester and educated at Manchester Grammar School and Oriel College, Oxford, where he did a postgraduate research in Anglo-Saxon history. He has worked as a journalist, broadcaster and film-maker, and is the author of several highly acclaimed books which include ‘In Search of the Trojan War’. He has over fifty documentary films to his name, amongst the most recent being ‘Saddam’s Killing Fields’. Michael Wood is the writer and the presenter of the BBC television series ‘In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great’. |
