It covers a wide variety of the subject and includes chapters on both World Wars, Frogmen and midget submarines, Submarine countermeasures, Doomsday ships and many other chapters. It goes into great detail, in particular the development and use of the submarines during the 1914-18 and 1939-45 wars and contains numerous photographs the majority of which I had never seen before.

Author: The author went to Oriel College, Oxford specialising in military history. His other publications include ‘Hitler’s Generals and ‘Japanese High Sea Fleet’.
