| Title:
Undersea
Warfare by Richard Humble |
|
Description:
This
book explores the history of the submarine from its early
beginnings during the American Civil War and before to
the modern nuclear vessels. It covers a wide variety of
the subject and includes chapters on both World Wars,
Frogmen and midget submarines, Submarine countermeasures,
Doomsday ships and many other chapters. It goes into great
detail, in particular the development and use of the submarines
during the 1914-18 and 1939-45 wars and contains numerous
photographs the majority of which I had never seen before.
