Florence
Nightingale 1820 1910 by Cecil Woodham-Smith |
|
Description:
This
book covers the life and times of Florence Nightingale
who was born in 1820 in Florence, Italy to British parents
and who went on to become remembered mostly as a pioneer
of nursing and a reformer of hospital sanitation methods.
She is probably best known for her work with the British
Military during the Crimean War but there are many other
factors to her life that is less well known but told in
this fascinating account. She died on August 13, 1910
aged 90 years and was later buried at her family grave
at East Wellow, England.
