Title: East German Air Force - Final Flightline by C.J. van Gent

Description: This book is a pictorial tribute to the former East German Air Force.  This book is a flashback to a deceased air force. The Luftstreitkrafte/Luftverteidigung, part of the Nationale Volksarmee of the German Democratic Republic, disappeared from the arena on 3rd October 1990, together with their employer. Many of the depicted aircraft have already been destroyed.  Others are now hardly more than rust and only a few were lucky enough to be sold.  A few were placed in museums.  Only a few were taken over by the Luftwaffe; mainly transport aircraft and helicopters of the Mi-2 and Mi-8 type.  The MiG-29 was the only fighter to be taken over - for a certain period.  Some of the bases from which these aircraft operated were shut down and dismantled.
