Will Morrison’s army career began in a pre-war Territorial anti-aircraft Battery. In 1940 he was posted to the Gordon Highlanders, and on passing the Aircrew Selection Board he was eventually transferred to the Glider Pilot Regiment. During his service in the above regiment the author took part in a number of airborne operations in the Mediterranean Theatre, including a top secret mission into German occupied Yugoslavia. He was also mentioned in Despatches for Distinguished Service n the Mediterranean Theatre of Operations. Over a number of years the author has written various articles, mainly based upon his wartime experiences. |
